What you need

The deceased’s:
  • Date of Death
  • Full name and usual address
  • Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
From you:
  • A piece of photographic ID, such as a passport of driving licence, to upload and verify your identity. (scan or photograph)

How to Inform Bank Leumi of a Death

To contact Bank Leumi, you will need to get in contact with their bereavement support team.

What information do I need to inform Bank Leumi of a death?

Most financial institutions, including banks, will need the following information when you initially contact them:

  • Account number(s) and sort code(s)
  • Full contact details of the deceased, including their date of birth, NI number and registered home phone number
  • Details of the person dealing with the Estate – if not you, please ensure that you have their permission to pass on their details.

What happens next?

Once you have sent over the notification, a member of Bank Leumi's customer support team will guide you through the rest of the process.
