What you need

The deceased’s:
  • Date of Death
  • Full name and usual address
  • Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
From you:
  • A piece of photographic ID, such as a passport of driving licence, to upload and verify your identity. (scan or photograph)

How to register a death with Shell Go+

Unfortunately, we are unable to notify Shell Go+ of a death, however you can tell them yourself by:


Calling the team on 0800 731 8888
Writing an email to driversclub@shell.co.uk
Through their website


What information do I need to notify Shell Go+ of a death?

To inform Shell Go + of a death, a photocopy of the death certificate is needed along with their membership number and email address.

In order to transfer the points, you will need to give them the new card number, as well as the date of birth and email address or post code of the account holder. If they don’t want to open a Shell Go+ account, then they can be sent redemption vouchers and the account will then be closed.

What happens next?

Shell Go+ are quite timely in sorting the points or the vouchers, so you should receive confirmation relatively quickly. But they will let you know where they are with the process.
