Life Ledger is free to send death notifications

What you need

The deceased’s:
  • Date of Death
  • Full name and usual address
  • Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
From you:
  • A piece of photographic ID, such as a passport of driving licence, to upload and verify your identity. (scan or photograph)

How to Tell Waterstones Plus of a Death

Unfortunately, we are unable to notify Waterstones Plus of a death, however you can tell them yourself by:

Calling the team on 0808 118 8787
Writing an email to customer.support@waterstones.com

What documentation do you require to register a death with Waterstones Plus?

Waterstones Plus asks that you provide the following information:

  • The 16-digit card number (found on the rear of the card)
  • An email address associated with the account
  • Full details of the deceased
  • Contact details of the person dealing with the Estate if this is not you, please ensure that you gain their permission before passing this on

What Happens Next?

Once told of the death, Waterstones Plus will take the necessary next steps. Should further information be required of you, they will contact you.
