What information will you need to report a death to MyCSP?

Once you have informed them of the death, MyCSP will let you know what information and documentation they need.

What Happens Next?

When a pension scheme member dies, their loved ones may be entitled to benefits. These could include a:

  • death benefit lump sum
  • widow’s or widower’s, child’s, partner’s or civil partner’s pension
  • widow’s or Widower’s Pension Scheme (WPS) refund
  • payment of any pension that was due to be paid when the member died (also called residual pension)

Death certificate or interim death certificate (scan or photograph)
